Automotive Mechanic
Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate is passionate about vehicle repair, highly skilled in diagnostics, and able to work efficiently on a variety of makes and models. You will be responsible for identifying and fixing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring vehicles run at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, brake, and electrical issues.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and battery replacements.
- Conduct multi-point inspections and provide recommendations for repairs.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot vehicle problems.
- Replace or repair faulty components, including belts, hoses, filters, and wiring systems.
- Work closely with the Service Advisor to provide accurate estimates and updates to customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Stay up to date with the latest automotive repair techniques and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Automotive Mechanic (310S) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a dealership or independent repair shop.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
